Serving The Community

The AGC Houston supports the following organizations through fundraisers, volunteerism, and promotion.

Hurricanes Harvey And Maria

In response to the devastation along the Texas Gulf Coast and on the island of Puerto Rico, AGC Houston donated $100,000 to help with the relief efforts. AGC Houston joined forces with AGC of America’s AGC Charities, pledging financial support to those who were displaced from their homes, and lost jobs.

Patrick J. Kiley Excellence In Leadership Scholarship

Established in 1995, the AGC Houston scholarship program has awarded 168 scholarships amounting to $511,500  to date. In 2018, a record 18 Houston-area college-bound and university students received scholarships to pursue degrees in a construction-related discipline.

The WorkFaith Connection

For the past four years, the AGC Houston staff has sponsored a single-parent family  who is going through The Workfaith Connection’s eight-day job readiness program. After receiving the parent’s wish-list, the staff purchases the items and wraps the presents. It is pure joy to see the expressions of awe and thankfulness on the parent and children’s faces as they reach for the presents under the Christmas tree.

Steps For Students

AGC staff have taken part in this annual 5K race which raises awareness and support for Catholic education.
