This section is a comprehensive listing of events, training and classes that AGC Houston provides. Some of our partners' and affiliates' events and other offerings are also included.

All AGC Houston classes, training and educational programs are endorsed by the AGC Houston Specialty Contractor Coucil.  The Specialty Contractor Council is comprised of  AGC Houston Specialty Contractor members .  The purpose of the council is “to promote best practices and fairness throughout the construction industry” and to “enhance the voice of the specialty contractor members within the association and industry.”   

OSHA-numbered courses listed in this Calendar section are offered through our affiliation with the University of Texas at Arlington, OSHA Region VI Education Center. Follow the links to register with UTA for this training at our facility.

First Aid - CPR - AED
Meet the requirements of OSHA Paragraph 1926.50 which calls for a person on the jobsite to have a valid certificate in first aid training in the absence of infirmary, clinic, or physician that is reasonably accessible in terms of time and distance to the worksite. Completion of this course meets the requirements of this standard, and participants will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid and CPR/AED wallet card valid for two years upon course completion.

Construction 10 hour Safety: Covers the safety requirements as contained in 29 CFR 1926. Specific OSHA requirements will be covered as well as easy tips on keeping your jobsite safe. Participants who complete the full 10 hour course will obtain an certificate of completion.

Participants who complete this course will obtain an OSHA certificate.

Este seminario de formacin se centra en la prevencin de riesgos que con ms frecuencia se citan en la construccin. La capacitacin de Foco en Cuatro Peligros en la Construccin es una clase de cuatro horas donde se discuten los cuatro mayores peligros asociados con una obra de construccin - cadas, electrocuciones, atrapados entre y golpes. Los participantes que completen este curso obtendrn un certificado de OSHA.
