• Learn about the stack effect and its impact on the building envelop infiltration
• Understanding wall R values and Perm ratings
• Understand the difference between the calculated vs effective “R value” of an exterior wall or roof.
• The impact of inherent thermal transfer and construction issues on mechanical system design.
• Understand the impact of air infiltration and how it is accounted for in the mechanical load calculations.
• Discussion of the glass type and the radiant heat values on comfort in near glass areas
